JC345-Halloween 2024 is a 5-piece dress set. The dress is made from black and orange satin. The bodice shoulders are gathered with black and orange satin bows attached. It has one-snap back closure. The skirt overlay is of a silver metallic mesh fabric with black flocked moon and stars in different shapes and sizes. The overlay skirt will vary from dress to dress as the flocked images are scattered throughout the fabric. There is a black satin bow attached to the front side of the dress, with a hot fix rhinestone attached to the center. The hat and boots are made from a pre-washed black Kona cotton. Due to the raw edge of the hat brim, the underneath of the hat brim has a black fusible tricot knit ironed to it, and the brim edge has been fray checked to prevent it from over fraying. This hat does have a tall and pointed top, but it has been bent down and hand tacked to the side of the hat. A satin ribbon reading the words “Happy Halloween” has been attached around the brim top. Attached to the side of the hat is a bow made from the same fabric as the skirt overlay. It also has a tiny black rose attached to the bow center. Also included in your set is a handmade black mask that has a hot fix rhinestone in the center. I must add that at the last moment I decided to paint a clear top coat of nail polish over both sides of the mask. Lastly, a little Halloween shopping bag, which can be used for a trick or treat bag is stuffed with orange tissue paper, and has a clear Stretch Magic loop attached to wear it over your doll’s wrist. The pumpkin and cat are not included.
Each dress set is packed in a 4” x 6” clear plastic box instead of the clear cellophane bags.
Does anyone recognize this overlay skirt fabric? Well let me tell you, I had a tiny piece of this fabric leftover from the “Black Star” gown made in 2016. I did not have enough fabric to make much of anything, but I wanted it for this Halloween dress. I searched it out on the internet. I could not believe it, I found some on Ebay, in perfect condition. It was an amazing find for me!!
FYI: Not sure if I ever mentioned this. Black Star was named after the death of singer David Bowie. Blackstar was his finally studio album release in Jan 2016, released on his birthday a couple days before his passing. The actual picture of my 2016 “Black Star” gown set can be found under in the section on my website tab “Unexpected Fashion Sales” page.
Have fun! Thanks again for everything!
Have a great day!
